Our materiality matrix shows which sustainability issues are most important to our stakeholders as well as SAP. Each quadrant tells part of this story. For example, the upper right signifies high importance to both stakeholders and SAP, while the bottom left signifies the opposite.

What you see on this page is our 2010 matrix. You can scroll over the colored dots to learn more about a specific issue; the slider at the bottom allows you to see results from previous years, as well as results in real time as visitors to this site fill out a personalized matrix, customized to their priorities.

You can create such a matrix by clicking on “Your matrix view” at the upper right of this page. A blank matrix will appear, along with three categories on the right-hand side: Economics, Environment and People.

Click on each to see a list of issues that fall under that category, along with corresponding dots. Simply drag the dots to the spot on the matrix where you think they belong. For example, if you think that employee satisfaction is important both to stakeholders and SAP, you would put it in the upper right quadrant.

Your input matters to us. Tell us about your priorities and what you think we should consider as we design our future strategy.
