Our Strategy

Our sustainability strategy has two objectives with one common denominator: SAP software solutions. As a company, SAP is committed to operating in an environmentally, socially, and financially sustainable manner. At SAP, sustainability begins at the top, as a CEO–led priority. The Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), a senior–level appointment, ensures integrated alignment of sustainability across all lines of business. Our CSO leads the corporate sustainability strategy as well as product development in the area of sustainability. As a solution provider, however, SAP is dedicated to developing the innovative solutions that will help our customers achieve their own sustainability goals. To achieve these objectives–managing and measuring corporate sustainability performance both in-house and for clients–we rely on our own IT innovations.

Corporate Sustainability Objectives

  • Reduce total CO2 emissions to year-2000 levels by 2020
